In January of 2021 the Caribbean had a hotel occupancy of 23.5%. Compared to 2020 (66.1%) this is a decrease of 64.4%. The significant decrease in Caribbean hotel performance is unfortunately a result of the measures taken to prevent the spreading of COVID-19.

As for the revenue per available room, numbers also indicate a significant decrease of 65.1%. The revenue per available room in 2020 was $169.43 and in 2021 it was $59.13.
