In March of 2020 the Caribbean had a hotel occupancy of 38.4% which is a significant decrease of 36.7 percentage points compared to 2019 (75.1%).

As for the revenue per available room(RevPAR), numbers indicate a significant decrease as well of 51.5%. The revenue per available room in 2019 was $206.82 and in 2020 it was $100.33. The unfortunate significant drop in figures are due to the infamous COVID-19 pandemic and all the travel bans and lock down measures taken to prevent spreading of the virus.
